Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Scientific and Academic Cooperation Signed Between Iran and Belarus

Within the framework of the Joint Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Belarus, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology and the Ministry of Science of Belarus. This agreement aims to expand bilateral engagements across educational, research, technological, and cultural domains, as well as other scientific sectors.

Under the terms of this MoU, both parties emphasized the development of academic cooperation, including the exchange of faculty members and students, the provision of academic sabbaticals and study opportunities, the evaluation of academic credentials, and the mutual recognition of universities and higher education institutions. Furthermore, both nations expressed a commitment to enhancing technological collaboration.
A key pillar of this agreement is the cooperation in the establishment and development of Science and Technology Parks, with a strategic focus on medicinal plants. This specialized field is expected to serve as a cornerstone for scientific, research-based, and innovative interactions between the two countries.
Executed through the Iran-Belarus Joint Commission, this MoU is set to unlock new capacities for deepening scientific and academic ties, facilitating knowledge exchange, and fostering long-term collaborative ventures between the two nations.
