According to the Public Relations Office of the Student Affairs Organization, the 64th meeting of the National Taskforce for International Student Recruitment was held with the participation of the Deputy for Scholarships and Overseas Students and other members of the taskforce. During the session, universities outlined their innovative strategies to ensure international students’ access to educational programs and guarantee that they benefit fully from all academic services.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ghanbari Baghestan, the Deputy for Scholarships and Overseas Students, emphasized that with the continuation of remote teaching at universities, international students—just like domestic students—will have full access to education for the remainder of the academic semester. He added that universities have already implemented the necessary measures to ensure that international students can continue their coursework.
Referring to Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology’s efforts to improve internet access for universities and faculty members, Dr. Ghanbari Baghestan noted that parallel efforts are underway to create special access pathways for international students, allowing them to use university learning platforms. He expressed hope that these efforts would yield results soon.
Later in the session, representatives of each member university presented their innovative approaches to ensuring that international students can benefit from their academic programs remotely.
These measures include offering special offline learning packages, planning intensive in person courses during the summer, allowing students to complete practical components in upcoming semesters, and forming dedicated learning groups on accessible platforms managed by relevant faculty members. These steps aim to guarantee continuity of education for international students under the current special circumstances.
