According to the Public Relations Office of the Student Affairs Organization, reporting from the Sport Sciences Research Institute of Iran, this network has been designed as a dynamic and effective bridge between sport sciences researchers residing inside and outside Iran. By harnessing the scientific capacities of Iranian scholars and academics around the world, the initiative aims to enhance research, technology, and scientific cooperation in the field of physical education and sport sciences.
Key Objectives of the GISAN Network:
- Creating a collaborative ecosystem among Iranian researchers inside and outside Iran
- Strengthening Iran’s effective role in international sports organizations
- Establishing a specialized membership database to facilitate scientific and research interactions
- Forming specialized committees for subfields of sport sciences
- Reinforcing international scientific and research cooperation through joint projects, articles, books, and co-supervised students
- Organizing joint educational courses and bootcamps
- Holding educational webinars with leading Iranian scholars residing abroad
- Institutionalizing member participation by selecting qualified individuals as editorial board members of the institute’s journals and as members of research groups
All Iranian researchers, faculty members, and experts residing abroad in the fields of physical education and sport sciences are invited to join the network and contribute to the scientific and athletic development of the country.
